I believe I was born to be a teacher. I absolutely love helping all students learn something new. I attended Vassar College for my undergraduate degree, where I majored in History, and The Catholic University of America for both my Master's and Doctorate degrees in Historical Musicology. All three degrees are research and writing intensive.  I am a classically trained soprano. There is always a song in my head. I have two sons in college and two dogs. My strongest personal philosophy is to find the humor in any situation. Laughter can help solve problems in so many ways.

I have helped numerous students achieve their academic goals and improve their grades.  My college applicants have been accepted to a wide range of colleges from, including Stanford, Princeton, Rutgers, NYU, RIT, UCLA, UT-Austin, to name a few. Several have written to me to let me know that the admissions committees cited their strong essays as a factor in their acceptances. My, sometimes unconventional, teaching methods work, and I am committed to helping my students succeed.

I have four years experience teaching at the college level and have been a teaching artist for several performing organizations, where I visited elementary and high school classes to discuss and prepare students to see and/or create a performance. With these experiences, I have a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed academically. My expertise and experience are what sets me apart from other tutors.

I understand that students have busy schedules, which is why I offer flexible tutoring sessions that can be scheduled at a time that works best for them. Whether it's after school or on weekends, I am here to help.

Private tutoring can be expensive, but I believe that every student deserves access to quality education. That's why I offer affordable rates that won't break the bank.

Single session: $60.00/hr

5 prepaid 1-hour sessions: $250.00

From college application essays (my specialty) to English, reading, history/social studies, and writing, as well as elementary math (K–8), I offer tutoring services in a wide range of subjects. Whatever your academic needs are, I am here to help you achieve success.
